References You Verify
When you use EvalCite to verify academic references, we temporarily process the reference text you provide. This data is:

- Stored in our server logs for up to 30 days for service improvement and debugging
- Never sold, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than verification
- Automatically deleted from our logs after the retention period
PDF Files
When you upload a PDF:
- The file is processed locally to extract references
- The PDF itself is deleted immediately after reference extraction
- Only the extracted reference text is processed for verification
- PDFs are never stored permanently or shared with third parties
Contact Form Data
If you contact us through our contact form, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your message content
- This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry
Analytics and Logs
We collect limited analytics data including:
- IP address (anonymized)
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time spent
